Hey! What’s up? Being my first post on HHP’s website, I should probably take a few moments to bombard you with trivia about myself. My name is Sebastien, but you can call me Sub… I think if you were to poll my
friends, the first word they would use to describe me would be ‘geek’. I’m a technology nut. I currently live in South Korea, home to technological marvels. I love my job, and I love that it’s shown me a world I might never have seen otherwise. I graduated from college in 2006, and afterwards worked in Halifax withhelicopter flight simulators, fun! I love music. I love driving. I have two cats, named Boy and Girl. I always have a camera on me, and subscribe to the movement “The Best Camera Is The One That’s With You”. I’m 26. I love my mom. I love ketchup chips (did you know they only exist in Canada?) but don’t eat ketchup. No, you can’t convince me to eat ketchup, people have tried. Was that enough random facts? Perfect!

With a more serious tone, I’m excited to be represented by Hemmings House Pictures. I have been inspired
by their work for as long as I remember. It’s easy to learn the technical aspects of photography, but
viewing Mark Hemmings’ work has shown that photography can be so much more than just a proper exposure and the rule-of-thirds. I would think that much of the ‘art’ one would perceive in my work was a direct influence of his. So, before I thank him for the opportunity, I should probably thank him for getting me
ready for it.
In my future posts, I’ll share with you some photos, stories, and general thoughts from the few places
I’ve visited in Asia so far: Thailand, China, Japan and South Korea. I hope you get an opportunity to see
these places as well, but if you don’t, maybe I’ll be able to give you an image of what it’s like.
